Small mod that changes original glowstick mod animations.
Not much to say really. Decided to make better throw animation and ended up replacing all of them.
Additionally changed couple lines of code in original script to make draw animation work.
Also added MCM option to give priority to glowsticks based on their charge: 1) after glowstick throw player will equip most charged glowstick 2) Or alternatively, after throwing glowstick player will give priority to less charged glowsticks, keeping not used ones for later.
Didn't touch anything else in the original script, so if there were any particular glitches they will probably be here too.

- managed to figure out how to make glowstick light up on real draw animation. Removed that hacky original code. Now glowstick draw animation should be much smoother and without weird flickering and glowstick brightness change. FINALLY

theoretically it should be fine to add mid play. But it almost never fine to remove addons midplay that add items. So it's better to keep save files made before original addon install, just in case you will want to remove it.

In your mod, the animation is choppy when you take out the lamp
ye, from what I understand looking at the original script, glowstick will lightup only when draw animation is finished. So author of the original mod made draw animation one frame long. And when it finishes he play his draw animation.
But in original scrip, his draw animation never worked, so what you see is just interpolation to idle animation, not real animation.
I'm looking into how to fix that but no luck so far

Nah, this addon doesn't fix that issue.
It happens because some weapons have fixed "hud_fov" value in weapon config file. Usually it's BaS weapons and they have ridiculously high hud_fov values.
So when you equip glowstick this hud_fov stops working and weapon model switches to your hud_fov set in options (I think default .45, I use .6).
And since fov becomes lower it makes weapon look closer.
Proper way to fix that would be to remove this hud_fov option from weapon config file and reposition weapon using debug tools. Or just find and install some reposition mod for the weapons you need.

I had to remove "hud_fov" from it's config and tweak position through hud editor a bit, cuz bolt was too close to the screen. Other than that it looks pretty good

Well, I’m on Gamma, it looks like it already use this one, or it’s very close at least. It’s not bad, that’s for sure, but I still tick a bit, I think it looks like the guy is throwing a brick ! ^^
Also, I have been spoiled by True Stalker lately ! In which I really like the bolt animation, it’s quick and fluid, one hand only. Anyway, that's a nickpicking detail.

That is weird. Only thing that comes to mind from get go is that original scrip is not overwritten by mine.
In original script draw animation was replaced with one frame anim and after it ended it would play custom draw animation.
Since I return proper draw animation back, original script will wait for draw animation to play and then play it again.
In my version of the script I removed those lines.
Can you check mod load order? This mod should go after original

Каким то образом ваш аддон конфликтует с аддоном "Starting Loadout Rebalanced(Glowsticks version) v1.2" ( Moddb.com ). Во-первых пропадают дополнительные функции в МСМ, добавленные в вашем аддоне. Во-вторых появляется баг в анимации. Imgur.com
Если в аддоне "Starting Loadout Rebalanced(Glowsticks version) v1.2" удалить скриптовый файл "zz_glowstick_mcm.script", то всё работает как надо.
да, у меня в моде модифицированная версия оригинального скрипта целиком, в которой я исправил анимацию доставания химсвета и добавил опции MCM.
И в моде "Starting Loadout Rebalanced(Glowsticks version) v1.2" также приложен оригинальный скрипт.
Скорее всего "Starting Loadout Rebalanced(Glowsticks version) v1.2" был ниже в списке модов MO2 и имел приоритет и переписывал мою версию скрипта более старой.
Баг анимации происходит потому, что в оригинальном моде автор не смог решить проблему из-за которой химсвет не загорался при доставании. По этому, он достаточно интересно обошел эту проблему, заменив анимацию доставания пустышкой в 1 кадр. После проигрывания пустышки химсвет загорался и автор оригинального мода запускал свою версию анимации доставания химсвета (которая, к слову не работала, и вместо нее происходила просто интерполяция сразу в состояние ожидания).
В своей версии мода, баг с включением химсвета я решил, и поскольку в пустышке больше не было необходимости я заменил ее на полноценную анимацию доставания химсвета.
Постольку в старой версии скрипта этих исправлений нет то он сперва ждет когда закончится анимация доставания (которая раньше была пустышкой), а затем повторно запускает эту же анимацию
Да так и было.
